Quality Assurance I

Pay: $18.00 per hour

General Summary

The Quality Assurance I is responsible for assisting the Quality Assurance function in daily operations. They support data collection, reporting, monitoring, and auditing to ensure compliance and drive quality-related metrics. This position is responsible for product safety, quality, and legality.

Primary Responsibilities

  1. Support the collection of data and analyze for regulatory reporting; coordinate and develop reports and assessment tools to verify compliance.
  2. Ensure quality metrics are adequately captured, analyzed, and communicated to management for improvement activities.
  3. Assist in investigating and resolving product specification-related problems.
  4. Participate in internal audits.
  5. Ensure adequate controls are maintained regarding damage and safe transport of product within the warehouse.
  6. Assist the Quality Assurance Manager with tracking and trending of KPIs and quality metrics to determine if corrective actions are needed.
  7. Ensure a high standard of performance and conformance to Quality Management Systems.
  8. Maintain consistent QA processes and documentation.
  9. Perform basic inventory research activities within the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  10. Promote continuous improvement using established quality processes.
  11. Support other quality and compliance-related activities as needed.

Education / Experience

  1. High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
  2. 24 years of experience in a warehouse environment preferred.
  3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
  4. Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  5. Customer service driven.
  6. Strong team player.
